Duterte tops the latest Pulse Asia Survey

Filipinos shows their support to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as he leads the most highest approval and trust rating among the Philippine’s politicians. These proves that Filipinos appreciates the present administration’s war on drugs, criminality and corruption. Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said that although the Pulse Asia conducted the survey during tough times of the president against his critics and having negative feedbacks he still remained the most trusted and approved politician among the government officials.



According Abella “This tells us that a great majority of Filipinos appreciate the President’s priority of protecting the nation’s patrimony – the next generation – from dangerous drug traffickers and violators; to restore a trustworthy government free from corruption; to keep our streets safe from crime; our society just and fair; and our many peoples get along,”

He added “The vicious noise from the President’s fiercest critics failed to dampen public sentiment on the latest presidential rating,”

“We thank our people for trusting that the Duterte administration is on the right track to building a nation worthy of all Filipinos,” Abella said.

According to the Pulse Asia Survey President Duterte scored 78 percent (As per march 2017) which is less than 5 percent from his previous points which was 83 percent that was conducted last December 2016. Duterte who was the former mayor of the Davao City has made this city the 9th safest city around the world. And started his war on drugs, criminality and corruption when he became the 16th president of the Philippines.

Next to him was Vice President Leni Robredo who scored 58 percent, which was less than 4 percent of her previous score. Leni Robredo is 14th Vice president of the Philippines, She was also a former congresswoman of Camarines Sur. Leni Robredo who is the widow of former DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo who died due to plane crash in year 2012.

Senate President Koko Pimentel was ranked third with maintaining score of 55 percent. Koko Pimentel is the 28th Senate President of the Philippines. He is also the current president of the “Partido ng Demokaratikong Pilipino-Lakas ng bayan”(PDP-Laban).

Meanwhile, the House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez scored a 40 percent of approval ratings and a 37 percent of trust ratings. He was a former Secretary of Transportation and Communication where he served unti july 2002.

Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno acquired a 42 percent of approval ratings while her trust ratings is 40 percent. She is the 24th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. She also earned a Master of Laws from the University of Michigan Law school in 1993.

Despite the problems that are being encountered by our country Philippines there are still trustworthy and approved officials that will help us to solve these problems and will make our country a better place. Filipinos must unite to support the current administration rather than criticizing each and every officials who are doing their best in their government posts.
